A robot is a machine and like any machine it needs to have input/programming. It can not think beyond what it is meant to do and sometimes critical thinking is needed. It replaces people. Instead of giving people work it takes work from people who need jobs or did the work before they were replaced by the robot. They break down and may not work for days, weeks, months. Robots come out dated and then become scrap metal and there are problems with disposal of the parts ( some of which may be toxic). May result in higher producation costs and then make the products it makes higher for the buyer.
