Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (commonly called the "Mormon" Church) believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is the Savior and Redeemer of all mankind, and salvation comes only in and through Him. He suffered and died to take on the sins of the world, so that if we will accept Him and His sacrifice for us, we can be saved. He was born of a virgin, performed many miracles, raised the dead, organized His church, was crucified on the cross, and rose again on the third day. He was the Jehovah of the Old Testament, the Messiah of the New Testament, and still speaks to prophets and guides the affairs of His Church today. He visited the people living on the American Continent shortly after his crucifixion. This visit is recorded in the Book of Mormon. We pray to God in His name, are baptized to take on His name, and are saved by accepting Him. We show our acceptance of Him by striving to follow His teachings and become more like Him.

The Bible is the Word of God, and the most correct English translation is the King James Version. It is used regularly in daily scipture study, sermons, worship services, and Sunday School classes. The Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ that is considered to be on equal level with the Bible.

Salvation is God's gift to all mankind. Because of the fall of Adam, mankind needs a Savior in order to return to live with God. Jesus Christ is that Savior. Those who accept Jesus Christ and the sacrifice He performed in their behalf - whether in this life or after death - will be saved and dwell in the kingdom of God.
