having said that, all buildings commercial architecture buildings typically have the following drawings worked out prior to construction: site plan, floor plan, reflected ceiling plan, roof plan, various enlarged floor plans, exterior building elevations, various interior room elevations, a number of building sections, wall sections, blow up details of wall sections (such as how a window is framed into wall, or how roof connects to wall), blow up details of floor plans (such how how an expansion joint is situated in a wall), and many other items such as "schedules" (charts) that describe window types, glass types, door types, door hardware, finishes (tile, carpet, painted gyp board, etc). usually there is also a sheet that shows wall sections through all the interior walls (referred to as partitions), as well as a separate floor plan that shows code compliance with number of occupants, travel distances to doors, etc. all of this only describes the architect's drawings. in addition, there typically will be several more drawings from electrical engineers, heating/cooling engineers (mechanical), Plumbing engineers, and civil engineers. many projects also have drawings by a landscape architect, drawings from specialized consultants such as security, telecommunications, laboratory equipment, audiovisual, etc.
