the atomic bomb was dropped on civilians not military and killed any where between 75000-250000 people when it landed, another thing is mostlikely today there is still heavy radition on th spot the bomb was dropped. one other it could have done is with the sudden increase of the test bomb, fatboy, and fatman could have completely destoyed the earths atmosphere.

Well, there are many disadvantages, but to name a few would be the strain it would leave on Japan after the War, the deaths of innocent people compared with the deaths of military troops (essentially leaving the entire thing pointless in terms of the war because this would just inspire the Japanese to fight harder) but the main disadvantages of the Atomic Bombing of Japan would be that America released one of the most destructive weapns the world has ever known and as such after seeing the destruction that it caused others copied it.
