Hawaii is the only state that is fully on a archapelago or group of islands. It houses the sothernmost point in the U.S. (Ka Lae point).It consists of 8 main islands( Oahu, Kauai, Maui, Lanai, Molokai, Hawaii (The Big Island), Kaho'olawe, and Ni'ihau).

Honolulu is the capital and largest city in Hawaii is located on the island of Oahu. It includes districts of Waikiki and Ala Moana, 2 large tourist places. The state building is located here and many offices are in the ares

Hawaii's climate is warm most of the time, and can get rainy in the winter and hot in the summer. It can get voggy due to smoke lingering fron the volcanoe kilauea on the big island. Hawaii also has slight chances of hurricanes during season, and earthquakes can occur due to volcanic activity.

Hawaii has many endemic birds, plants and animals that are unique to here. Like the I'iwi or honeycreeper or the Giant Koa tree. Its rainforests take up most winward parts. Leward parts are dryer, but have very clean and nice beaches.

Native Hawaiians came from polynisia and broght plants and animals along with them. Like Kalo(taro) or Ilio(dogs). Captain Cook was the 1st European to discover the islands, but until them, only hawaiians knew about it.

There are so many interesting things about my beloved Hawai`i that set it apart from the other states. It is difficult to answer. Yet, here are 3 fun facts....

  1. The "state" of Hawaii consists of eight main islands: Niihau, Kauai, Oahu, Maui, Molokai, Lanai, Kahoolawe and the Big Island of Hawaii.

There are only 12 letters in the Hawaiian alphabet.

Vowels: A, E, I, O, U and Consonants: H, K, L, M, N, P, W
