There are many examples of movies based on Greek Mythology. "Clash of the Titans", the Percy Jackson movies, etc.
Hercules, from 1997.
FootnoteIf you want to do a report on Hercules (which, little known fact, is actually the ROMAN hero. In Greece, it is Herakles [pronounced HE rah kleez]) or on Greek mythology, do NOT base it on this movie! I guarantee you will get a very low grade (likely an F). Disney twisted the actual myth to make Herakles' tale more kid-friendly. I would recommend you do more technical research.Advice: get some books out of the library, or find a reliable source on the internet (type "Hercules Greek mythology" in a Google search).
Also, i recommend Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas. The Greek Goddess Eris is a character challenging Sinbad and whatnot. She's the bad guy. It's good; you should watch it.
Same warning applies here as it does for Hercules, though.
If you're doing a report or just researching for fun, i suggest buying The Greek Myths: Volume I (or II, but I has more interesting material), by Robert Graves. Reading the Iliad or The Odyssey are both good ideas, too.

The latest being Troy. Others are Odyssey, Clash of the Titans, Helen of Troy...
One really good one is the D'aulaire's Book of Greek Myths. It has profiles for all of the olympians, and many stories, including those of Helen, Jason, Perseus, Pandora, and Heracles.

The exact date of Terpsichore's death is not clear as she is a mythological figure. Terpsichore was one of the nine Muses in Greek mythology, and her role was to inspire and oversee dance and choral singing. Mythology often involves timeless characters and stories, so specific dates of death are not usually mentioned.
The only Greek mythology characters that die are the heros (example: Hercules, Oddyseus, Perseus, Theseus, Achilles, etc...). None of the Gods/Goddesses or Titans die because they are immortal.
No it isn't. Its a diffrent series but it still involves Greek Mythology.
The characters of the Greek mythology have not lived in our chronology.
Greek mythology, Theseus is a hero king of Athens.
In my school you can teach Classical Civilisation - it teaches greek mythology charactars and Homer, but I think it involves other things as well. Plus, you have to be able to teach History as well.
No. Only the 'Greek' should be capitalized. This is unless 'Greek Mythology' is a title, then the 'mythology' shouldn't be capitalized.
No. Greek Mythology is usually violent and terrible, and involves animals and monsters that never existed and a bunch of Olymian gods who sit around doing nothing. Did you ever read/watch Percy Jackson?! Just kidding! :) Plz, don't use Greek Mythology as mannerism.
Many characters in Greek mythology could be described as strong because a lot of them were warriors, but the most famous strong mythological hero is Heracles/Hercules.
