Why does teen suicide happen?

probably because they hate life, or are stressed out a bunch from maybe bullies, and their parents, or there are a lot of events that they are tired of. <------------- Some kids feel bad about themselves and think that they are worthless. Some kids think that they have no reason to live. I tried to commit suicide once. I almost made my plan work. No one tried to stop me because I am a foster child and they thought I was stupid and was worth nothing in the world. Even though I had a good life on the outside, I hated it on the inside. I may have looked happy and silly on the crust, but I felt so crushed and serious on the inside. I learned that I had a lot of things going for me and I really did have people that cared about me. So what I'm trying to say is that the biggest problem is that kids become suicidal because they start to believe that no one wants or loves them. They feel worthless and start to hate the innocent little kid they are inside. They tend to feel regret of who they can trust and who actually cares and loves them, inside and out.

the most famous reason teen suicide happens, is because of the pressure and stress put on a teen. (for example for girls or boys)

at school if you don't look a certain way, or talk a certain way. or don't have certain items. you will think that kids wont like you, so you try to change yourself. and after more and more and more stress puts on you, getting bullied, family problems, bf/gf problems, etc. the next step seems to be depression. and after a while they just cant take it anymore and believe because your life is horriable, no one likes you, and you just totally break and commit suicide.

i know there is other reasons why, but i believe that my reason is the most popular one.

The death of any person by suicide is very difficult to understand fully. If a person dies by accident, murder or by illness or old age (viz natural death) it is possible to understand what has happened. But when a person kills themselves, this goes against the strongest human instinct - to live, to live well and to live as long as possible. Each death by suicide is difficult to understand because the deceased person is not there to explain why. This leads relatives, friends and perhaps the deceased person's doctor to search for the reasons why. Only about 25-30% of suicide deceased leave notes and often these are short, hurried and do not explain in any great detail why the writer intended to kill themselves.

Suicidologists believe that unbearable pain and distorted thinking about how to ease that pain lies at the root of suicide. Adolescents go through a period of rapid physical and emotional development over a few years in growing from childhood to aduldhood. This period can be quite challenging for some young people. If they isolate themselves and are unable or unwilling to share their feelings with those that love them and care for them, e.g. parents, siblings, friends, teachers, school counsellors, etc. sometimes they become so distorted in their thinking that death seems the best way to ease their pain.

Some people think that many if not most people, do not intend to die when they appear to cause their own deaths. In fact they may be trying to "kill the unbearable pain"and their own death is a byproduct.

In all cases people of all ages who are thinking of killing themselves should seek out someone compassionate that they trust so as to talk through what they feel and hopefully to find a way to preserve their lives until its natural end.

It is not uncommon for young ones to give in to despair and commit suicide to do so even over matters that seem trivial to others. When they feel hurt and cannot do anything about it, youths may view their own death as a means of getting back at the person who hurt them. A recent survey in Britain indicated that when children are subjected to severe bullying, they are nearly seven times as likely to attempt suicide. The emotional pain that these children suffer are real. Others may try to take their life when they get into trouble at school or with the law, suffer the end of a romance, get a bad report card, experience stress over exams, or become weighed down by worries about the future. Among high-achieving adolescents who may tend to be perfectionists, a setback or a failure-be it actual or imaginary-may bring on a suicide attempt. Well, some girls will commit suicide because of stress and pressure. Others on the other hand will do it because they think their life is nothing and no one cares for them.

Boys are more successful at committing suicide because their decisions are more firmed, they are less emotional and tend to act on the thought right away.
