My school offers a Computer Literacy class so I decided to take it. They did teach us about internet safety there and I learned a few things I did not know.
It is important to stay safe on the Web, especially if you're a minor.
- Never give out personal information to anyone!
- Don't cyberbully because it may cause you to end up in a lot of trouble and you may hurt someones feelings!
- Never trust anyone that says they will take good care of you or they want to meet you.
- Do not give out your full name, address, or phone number.
- Don't send pictures to that person unless you are for sure it's someone you know
- Do not give out links that cause viruses!
Don't legally copy a website somebody else has made without their permission. That can get you ending up with the cops!
There are plenty more you can find on the Internet! Stay safe and be carefull!

∙ 13y agoYou should never give out your password. Do not open any email from someone you don't know (it could be a virus). Only talk online to the people you know. Never tell anyone your password, name, address, age, birthday, phone or cell number, don't tell them your state, city, or zip code. If you have receive an email from someone you don't know, or a site that you have never been on, delete it. Don't open it (could also be a virus). Don't click on any of the advertisements that appear on the internet. Don't ever talk to a person older than you that you don't know, because they could b sex offenders. Don't date any one online, because you don't know if they will cheat on you or sexual or physically abuse you when you meet them. But, if you ever do find someone, don't ever be alone with the male/female that your dating. Until you can 1oo% trust that you will be safe with them, always date where you are in a public place where there are a lot of people around, so if something happens, you can get help faster. Don't ever download free games (also may give viruses). There are probably more things that you should know other than all of these that I shared with u, so you can ask someone you know, or let people keep answering this same question, so you can find out more of how to keep yourself safe.
