It can be challenging for humans to control greed when they have great power because power can often lead to a sense of entitlement and desire for more. However, individuals can work to control their greed by developing self-awareness, empathy, and a sense of responsibility towards others. It ultimately depends on the individual's values and willingness to prioritize ethical behavior over personal gain.
Jose P. Laurel was the President of the Philippines from 1943 to 1945 during World War II under Japanese occupation. Some of the programs he implemented included the establishment of the Second Republic, introduction of a new constitution, and economic policies focused on agrarian reform and industrial development. In some instances entitlement programs work. When these programs help those who they were designed to help they work. When people take advantage of these programs and try to find a way around the rules, they do not work.

The definition of entitlement is the fact of having a right to something or the amount to which a person has a right. One example of an attitude of entitlement is when someone thinks that rules do not apply to them and they deserve special treatment. An entitlement is also a guarantee of access to something such as welfare benefits or other government programs.

One very obvious difference is the that entitlement programs are arranged by governments to financially assist individuals. Whereas, Pension programs are set up by employers for employee retirement plan options.
The US Constitution does not guarantee education as a right or entitlement. That has been added by statute and regulation.
There is a lot of debate about whether or not entitlement programs alleviate poverty or perpetuate it. These programs can alleviate poverty if they are used as they are designed. They should be used to offer help for hard times. If one works to better their education and their life while receiving help, they will be able to pull themselves out of poverty.
