there are so many, most coming from America's belief in its own righteousness. It seems to most of the rest of the world (regrettably i cant speak for all of it... but on this subject, i think i can manage most of it), that Americans go around thinking they are the good guys... that's not how Americans are seen to anyone who takes the trouble to look objectively at their history.

Start with, the founding fathers, from what i can gather, they are seen as saint like figures who saw that something was wrong and tried to change it for the good of their fellow countrymen... bollocks. Utter rubbish. this may have been true for one or two but the majority were doing it for self gain, like most revolutionaries.

Second, the Boston massacre wasnt a massacre, it was Propaganda. A total of 5 people died, if the Americans count that as a massacre then their mistreatment of Afro-Americans and Native Americans, and every other creed makes them a damn sight worse than the Nazis

Third, the American revolution, or to give its proper title, the Anglo-American civil war, freed Americans from British oppression. Well actually, Britain was one of the most advanced democracies in the world, certainly better than anything on the continent.

the last one that i will point out is in WWII, America did not save Britain, if you want to be technical then we saved each other because without the money and weapons that America sent us we would not have been able to continue, but if we had have given up, then Germany would have been able to concentrate on Russia and would have beaten them, then it would have looked to America. So essentially the British saved the Americans.

i think the biggest mystery in us history is why they seem to see themselves as the savours of the world
