Hydroelectric energy is generated by a dam built over a river. Water is trapped by the damn and released through holes in the dam inside of which are turbines, turned by the rushing water which in turn power generators which make the electricity.
The advantages are: They make infinite renewable energy with no effects on the environment other than river dwelling creatures habitats.
Disadvantages are: The dams are expensive to build and can only be built high up in mountains where there are lakes and streams etc.
renewable
Advantages Scenic scenery Foods Hydroelectric energy Disadvantages Flooding Pollution of rivers could lead to bad smells
advantages of renewable- it can be used over and over again. used to make power disadvantages of renewable- solar panels are expensive, so are wind turbines advantages of non-renewable- very efficient. lots of experience in field disadvantages of non-renewable- it pollutes the environment. it is difficult to dispose of
no, it is a renewable energy source.
Hydroelectric
The disadvantages of the biogas generators is that it is not attractive commercially and it is not feasible to locate all the location. The advantages is that it provides a non-polluting and a renewable source of energy.
Advantages: Renewable Energy No Pollution Easy to extract for geothermal energy production Disadvantages: naturally occurance only in tectonically active zones, otherwise needs to be drilled out of the inner Earth
Geothermal energy is not harmful. There are dangers in any power plant, of course, but the advantages of geothermal energy far outweigh the disadvantages. The advantages are that it is renewable and pollution free.
Hydroelectric/Tidal, Solar, Wind, Geothermal, Bioenergy/Biomass energy are all renewable.
biothermal, hydroelectric
solar energy for electricity, hydroelectric energy for electricity too
Hydroelectric power and solar energy.
