The basics are simple. Your lord is God(Allah in Arabic) who created the heavens and the earth in 6 days. He is One. He has no partners or associates. The message of the Quran is God and God alone has the right to be worshiped. This is the message that Adam came with, Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad came with.(peace be upon all of them) Muhammad pbuh was sent as a mercy to all the worlds. Jesus to the children of Israel and Moses to the children of Israel. The similitude of Jesus is that of Adam, god created him from dust and said to him be and he was. Jesus was a human being and NOT divine. He never claimed divinity. He was a prophet and called people to worship Allah. I kind of went off topic but again. 1. God is one, alone 2. None has the right to be worshiped but him 3. Believe/obey god and his messengers 4. Follow the guidance/message of the Quran(which what was in the original gospel, and original Torah) 5. Pray 6. Fast 7. Perform hajj 8. Give charity 9. Do good deeds Etc. Dont judge a book by it's cover. Islam is the fastest growing religion. Study it, and see why.
