What are the benefitspositives of the United Nations?

I believe that, initially, the United Nations was a good thing. It helped all the major nations of the world have a central meeting place, without fear of attack from others, where they could discuss trade, imports and exports, duties and fees, complain with no fear of retribution, argue over finances and boundaries, and even discuss old conflicts and wars and what their causes were. At the end of World War II, the nations of the world needed such an institution at their disposal. It was placed on the soil of the United States because the U.S. was still a young enough nation that it had not been a cause of any world conflicts, and there was plenty of room to build such a place that would suffice for their needs. That was then. This is now. The ever-generous United States has foot the bill for so many underprivileged nations that we lost millions and billions monthly (or more?), and the demands on us grows. The Communists and Socialists have discovered that their powers in the United Nations allows them to make demands on America and American resources--and get away with it! The fees, penalties, and demands imposed on the U.S. have become a greater burden than the value of being a member of that institution. I believe we should remove the United Nations from our land--throw the bums out! Send them home, and stop sending ump-teen billions of dollars that we do not have to backward countries that are not learning to feed and take care of themselves! Give the underprivileged food and clothes and we will be feeding and dressing them forever. Teach them to feed and clothe themselves and we will be helping a neighbor to stand on his own legs and care for himself! The value of self-reliance and independence (that bring about self-love) is priceless! As long as they have any sort of power over us and our money, we lose. Our sovereignty has been lost, and I want us to get it back! They cannot and should not have any voice in governing this country!
