Violin, viola, cello, bass. ( I'm in orchestra and I'm pretty sure there are only four) But in that case it might be thinking of a harp or the conductor.. :) I hope this helped!
A group of five musicians is known as a "quintet."

Brass, woodwinds, string and percussions are the four families of musical instruments...The fifth one is the electric family, instruments that need electricity to amplify the sound (keyboards, Electric guitars, etc.)

A quintet is a group of five, usually a group of five musicians. Depending on which instruments they are using, they could be a string quintet, a brass quintet or a vocal quintet. The word could also be used for a piece of music written for five performers.
A ... quintet.
Bluegrass is a sub-genre of country music that relies heavily on acoustic stringed instruments. Its five major instruments are the fiddle, the guitar, the mandolin, the five string banjo, and the upright bass.
These are the 5 categories of musical instruments as far as I know them. Membranophones- use a vibrating membrane to make a noise (ex. a conga drum) Idiophones- The actual instrument vibrates (ex. a xylophone or a bell) Aerophones- Moving air creates the sound (ex. a flute) Chordophones- Vibrating string makes sound (ex. a banjo) Electrophones- electronic production of a sound, coming out of a speaker (ex. keyboard)
The FIVE instruments are harps, psaltries, timbrels, cymbals, and trumpets.

Any kind of a quintet is comprised of five parts. Multiple instruments may double up on the parts, but "quint..." is a pretty good indication of "five".
