You might supper carpal tunnel syndrome from excessive keyboard use or mouse use, particularly when lacking sufficient wrist support. You could develop back problems due to poor posture in sitting after a long time at the computer. Finally, your social skills may decline after a while due to no contact with outside world, and you might develop mental problems.

Eyestrain is one possibility, and if children spend excessive hours on computers, it may contribute to nearsightedness. Then there are the injuries related to how you sit and use the computer. You can develop carpal tunnel syndrome and lower Back pain. There might also be mental laziness as you get used to using a computer for things you should be doing yourself. Then there are the risks of using specialized computers such as people texting while walking or driving, or someone using a GPS and driving off of a cliff.
