Jeff Hunter's career decisions were made by his wife who turned down his chance at the second pilot, and he was replaced by the Canadian actor William Shatner. Majel Barett, wife of Star Trek creator Gene Roddenberry was bumped as the unemotional "Number One" by Spock, but she returned as Nurse Chapel who was in love with Spock, and as the voice of the Enterprise computer. As Yeoman Rand, actress Grace Lee Whitney dropped out after eleven episodes under the official story that she was pregnant. Really, she had become an alcoholic nymphomaniac, and it took many years to clean herself up. Walter Koenig did not join the Star Trek cast until the second season because Roddenberry wanted a long-haired Davey Jones type to increase younger viewership. It was originally intended that he be British, but Russia complained that they were not represented in the multi-national Star Trek crew, so Koenig's character became Ensign Chekov. George Takei missed a few episodes of the first season while filming the movie The Green Berets with John Wayne. Kirk's tombstone in the second pilot reads James R. Kirk. I'm a Tribble.
Yes he has been in the following: Star Trek: The Motion Picture, Star Trek: The Wrath of Kahn, Star Trek: The Search for Spock, Star Trek: The Voyage Home, Star Trek: The Final Frontier, Star Trek: The Undiscovered Country, Star Trek: Generations.
Mel Metcalfe was not a cast member; he was a crew member. He was a re-recording mixer for Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan and Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home.
This varies from ship to ship (there are many ships named USS Enterprise in the Star Trek universe). Enterprise NX-01 (without the USS prefix) had a crew compliment of 83. Enterprise 1701 and 1701-A from the original series and movies had 430. Enterprise 1701-D from The Next Generation had 1000 (but that included the civilian families of the crew as well). Enterprise 1701-E (from the latest TNG movies) had a crew compliment of 885.
Following the Khitomer mission, the Enterprise was ordered by Starfleet Command to return to Spacedock to be decommissioned. In spite of this, Captain Kirk ordered the ship on course to the "second star to the right, ...and straight on 'til morning." Kirk later recorded in his log that the Enterprise and her history "will shortly become the care of another crew." Star Trek Memory alpha shows that it was decomissioned in 2293.
That's what they are called, "crew members"
Star Trek Enterprise - In Conversation - The First Crew - 2013 was released on: USA: 20 August 2013 (Blu-ray premiere)
Only eight were made in a box set of the original Star Trek crew and the U.S.S. Enterprise A
Not sure which outpost you are referring to. The original Enterprise had a crew of 429.
1016
The 2009 Star Trek film served as a prequel of sorts, going through the lives of the Enterprise crew when they began their careers.
Eisilium is a rare element that was made-up in the 2001 Star Trek series: Star Trek: Enterprise. When Enterprise finds a comet that contains the rare element Eisilium. A Vulcan ship arrives suddenly and Capt. Vanik of the Vulcan ship tells the Enterprise crew that his crew is interested in human behavior. Eisilium was first seen in the series Star Trek: Enterprise, Season one, Episode seventeen.
No. The last movie with that crew was Star Trek The Next Generation: Nemesis. The plot line seems to make it clear it was the last. Several senior crew members are no longer on the Enterprise.
Yes they will make a an awesome Enterprise crew. I have always wanted to see them in Star Trek and explore space. That would be really cool and fun to watch. Jovato In Space!

You may be referring to the Star Trek: The Next Generation crew on a Holodeck, sailing on a 19th century naval ship (also called the Enterprise). That film is Star Trek: Generations. The characters that were present in that scene are Captain Picard, Commander Riker, Commander Data, Commander LaForge, Lt. Commander Worf, Counsellor Troi, and Dr. Crusher.
