While there is not proof of infant baptism in The Bible, it is possible to have occurred. For example, in Acts 10, when Cornelius and his household receive the Spirit, Peter has them baptized, without mentioning that it was only the adults. Similarly in Acts 16, when Paul is imprisoned at Philippi, the warden of the prison is converted and "he and all his household were baptized." (16:33) Again, there is no indication that children were included, nor that they were not.

Lacking definitive proof, the Catholic Church goes by its longstanding tradition, from the earliest days and mentioned by various Fathers of the Church, that infants and children would be baptized along with their parents.

It doesn't actually say it directly. It's been interpreted and twisted. sometimes we cant understand the bible but it has clever ways of saying things. maybe your not looking hard enough. We believe that the earlier you baptise the better.

babies i think should not be baptised because before you are baptised you have to hear beleive and confess and babies cant understand things and how would they beleive if they cant understand and how can they confess if they cant talk, baptism symbolises death. burial, and ressurection, babies are sprinkled and cant be submerged you can not symbolise death burial and resurection by pouring a spoon of water over their head, there are no examples of baby baptism in the bible and jesus was baptised later in life, he was also in a river and put all the way under the water, that is why a baby cant be baptised because it is like them taking a shower they do not know what is going on and you cant force anyone to believe in god they need to beleive themselves you cant tell them what they believe they will have no point in being baptised because they wont even know it happened the next day

There are no Scriptures specifically on infant baptism per se, but Acts 16 describes the baptisms of many people with their entire households. Acts 16:15 says "[...]she was baptized, with her household[...]" Later, Acts 16:33 says "[...]and he was baptized at once, with all his family." More examples are:

"Crispus, the ruler of the synagogue, believed in the Lord, together with all his household; and many of the Corinthians hearing Paul believed and were baptized." (Acts 18:8).

"I did baptize also the household of Stephanas" (1 Corinthians 1:16).

The word "household" implies not just the person who believed (although in some cases the whole family did believe), but everyone in the family. Back then, "household" meant the slaves, women, children, everyone, even though the male head of the house was usually the only one counted for taxes, the census, as a citizen, etc. For example, when Jesus feeds the 5,000, it only says that there were five thousand men (Mark 6:44). It doesn't mention the number of women and children there.

Also, in Genesis 17, when God tells Abraham to circumsize every male in his household (Genesis 17:27), it says that he circumsized not only him and his son Ishmael, but also "all the slaves born in his house or bought with his money, every male among the men of Abraham's house" (Genesis 17:23). Therefore, when Peter or Paul or another disciple baptized an entire household, it included everyone, even the infants.

The Church also started doing infant baptisms because many babies died soon after birth and their parents wanted them to be saved. Later in life, the child will have the choice to stay in the Catholic Church or not during the Sacrament of Confirmation. That is when the child (or young adult, adult, etc) makes the decision by their own will to be a Catholic Christian.

Did jesus say you have to be baptized to be saved according to the bible?

This is hard to describe. The term baptize means to be submersed or totally surrounded. In the bible Jesus went down into the river to be baptized by John. It did not say he was submerged but it is implied. Jesus did say in the bible that you must be "born of water and of spirit." This is interpreted to mean to be born physically. of water, and of spirit, of the soul. Bless you on your journey.
