Visit a game park, or as is popularly known: "Go on a safari". There are many across the whole country and each one offers a different experience. Some have the "Big 5", others have Bushmen paintings or archeological sites, some are in forests or mountainous country or desert. Spend most of your time on this - it is unique.
Cape Town is a beautiful city - also include a trip to the nearby Winelands
Durban has great beaches
Johannesburg in Gauteng is the largest city.
