It depends what your into.If you don't like wind stay off the west coast very windy there.If you like cities I recommend Cork it has everything and more and is way better than Dublin which is more well known.Clare is a lovely county it is sparsely populated and has a beautiful geographical area called the Burren.Kerry is nice as well.I don't mean to sound stereotypical but the people are very friendly.

Answeri agree, cork best city in Ireland to live, though Galway nice too. Dublin is 5 times bigger then Cork but doesnt have anything to offer that Cork doesnt except better music giggs in exchange for all the normal probs of bigger cities eg. traffic. If you prefer towns the western towns are typically nicer though wetter. The south east is considered to have the best weather small but lovely village in wexford is killmore quay.
