Bulimia nervosa "is a mental illness in which a person binges on food or has regular episodes of significant overeating and feels a loss of control. The affected person then uses various methods -- such as vomiting or laxative abuse -- to prevent weight gain.(Google health)"
Body image is one of the main causes for bulimia nervosa, many psychologists pointing the finger at the media for fabricating unreal body types upon the masses with the use of photoshop and unhealthily thin models.
It is closely linked with anorexia which is a mental disorder that manifests itself into a physical one.
10% of bulimics will die from the disorder. There are several causes; cardiac arrest, other medical complications and suicide are among the most common causes of death among bulimics.
Normal people. Bulimics usually are at a normal weight or tend to be over weight. After purging they may also have chipmunk cheeks and blood shot eyes.
Anorexics don't eat. Bulimics throw up.

Bulimia is a sickness. Bulimics can also suffer from acid wear on the throat and mouth.
Both anorexics and bulimics are cautious about how much they eat around other people and what kinds of foods they ingest. They do not like to eat around other people (secrecy is the name of the game). They both starve themselves for long periods of time (bulimics just make up for it by stuffing it all down later). They might appear bloated, but that is mostly bulimics due to water retention so I suppose it depends on how much the anorexic is vomiting.
Sugar or caffeine.
Most bulimics are females in their teens or early 20s.
