What chemical helps the flavor last longer?
BHT Potasium Sorbate, Sodium Hexametaphosphate, Calcium Disodium EDTA. Take your pick, all are flavor stabalizers and prolongers. Look at any soda can or bagged or canned food. You are likely to find one of those or an abbreviation for one of them.

Well they have made i new kind of gum called stride it is made to last longer so probaly stride would last the longer hope that helps there is a new gum called 5 gum and that… lasts a really long time. There is um mentos and it lasts for 2 hours .

Sorbitol is the best thing to keep the flavor and it is in almost all gums. Stride has natural and artifial flavor and it's sugar level 3 grams an more sugar the more flavor.
It can to a certain extent, but not very effectively. The problem is that the sugar will still dissolve out of the gum pretty fast, so the key is to slow the dissolving of th…e sugar by means of chemically altering or coating it.

I had just did an science experiment about a month ago with 5 friends and figured out that double mint had the longest flavor out of all of the gums they had tried. take my wo…rd for it.

It has to do mostly with the ingredients used, and alos "natural" falvors (mint, for example), tend to last longer than "un-natural" (fruity) flavors.
