The bluish-black to bluish-purple color can be a sign of pregnancy. It is called Chadwick's Sign. It is caused by increased blood flow to the cervix/uterus. Inner vaginal lips can turn blue during pregnancy but this doesn't happen to every pregnant woman. Do a pregnancy test.
