Any felony (meaning any crime for which the maximum punishment for a single count or charge could be more than 1 year of being locked-up).

Also any "domestic violence" or "family violence" crime, even if it was just a misdemeanor offense.

And any crime that was disposed of by a plea of insanity or a finding of insanity.

There are several- first, having been convicted of any crime that is a felony (a crime that can be punished by a year or more in prison). Next, being convicted of a crime of domestic violence, even if a misdemeanor. Violation of Immigration law (such as being in the US illegally) Violation of drug laws (being an unlawful user of, or addicted to controlled drugs) and violation of certain Military laws (that result in a Dishonorable Discharge from the military) and being a fugitive from justice (you are being sought by police to be arrested). One final legal issue- if you have been adjudged to be mentally incompetent- such as a court has ordered you to be committed to a mental hospital against your will.
