What did Jesus do while in the grave for three days?
Simply put, the Bible says that the dead are in the grave, awaiting the resurrection. (John 5:28, 29) They are not suffering or in any kind of pain, for "the dead know nothing at all." (Ecclesiastes 9:5) In his teachings, Jesus likened death to a deep sleep. (John 11:11-14) Thus, we have no need to fear those who have fallen asleep in death or to appease them by making offerings to them. They can neither help nor harm us, because "there is no work nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom in the Grave." (Ecclesiastes 9:10) By means of the resurrection, however, God will do away with death forever.-1 Corinthians 15:26, 55; Revelation 21:4. For more information on this subject please visit jworg.

Three Kings day, or Epiphany.
When Jesus said 'Destroy this temple and I will raise it again in three days' what was He refering to?
Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, was making reference to his physical body. He knew that he would be crucified and that he would rise from the dead on the third day in fulfi…llment of the Scriptures. The word "destroy" is a command in the second person. The Jewish leaders would go on to crucify ("destroy") Christ but he would not be destroyed forever. After three days, God raised him from the dead.
Jesus rose to life - the firstborn of eternal life. He was seen by some disciples but could not be touched as He was our 'wavesheaf' offering to the Father on behalf of th…e sins of all mankind.
Only Luke's Gospel and Acts of the Apostles actually say how long Jesus lived on earth after his resurrection. Luke's Gospel says that Jesus rose bodily to heaven on the eveni…ng of the day of his resurrection. According to this source, he stayed on earth less than one day. Acts of the Apostles, although written somewhat later by the same author, says that Jesus stayed on earth for a further forty days and was seen by many.
Matthew recorded an appearance of the risen Jesus to the women, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary, who saw him while on the way to tell the disciples of their experience. His …next appearance was to the disciples on the mountain in Galilee, and must have been much later. Luke says that Jesus appeared to Cleopas and another, possibly Peter, on the road to Emmaus, on the day of his resurrection. Later that evening, he appeared to the eleven in a room. John says that Jesus first appeared to Mary Magdalene, who at first thought he was the gardener. Later that same day, he appeared to ten of the disciples at a meal, Thomas being absent. Mark's Gospel, in its original form, does not mention any appearances of the risen Jesus. The "Long Ending" (verses 16:9-25), added much later, say that he appeared to the "two of them", but does not say if this was the two women of Matthew's Gospel or the two men of Luke's Gospel. Afterwards, he appeared to the eleven at a meal. Since the Long Ending was added in order to harmonise with Matthew and Luke, we can assume that the appearance to the eleven also occurred on the day of the resurrection.
On the third day called Easter Jesus rose from the dead , so we have salvation.
The robber said if you are god save yourself and us, The Jews said he saved others but he can not save himself, he was given vinegar when he said he was thirsty.
No doubt he wished the interior decoration had better ambience :) In any case, Jonah was actually being punished for trying to run away from G-d. G-d had asked him to go to th…e city of Ninveh and tell them to repent. However, Jonah, knowing that they would and that eventually this would not bode well for the Jewish people attempted to flee from the job that G-d had given him. After spending 3 days in the whale, Jonah repented and realized that one cannot run away from doing G-d's will. He was then vomited out and proceeded to perform his mission.
The Bible says Jesus was preaching to the dead during that time.. (1 Peter 3:19, 1 Peter 4:6).
The only thing we know is that on the third day, God resurrected Jesus from the dead.
Three days. He was placed in the tomb on Friday before sundown, and rose from the dead on Easter Sunday morning.
There could have been several reasons for the three days in the tomb. Many people think that he must have been unconscious and/or unaware. The bible tells us that Jesus did no…t spend those three days in the tomb. He descended to Abraham's Bosom to retrieve the dead saints that had been waiting for thousands of years for his return. The bible also tells us that He visited Hades (hell) but is unclear what he did there. It's possible He conversed with the unrepentant but we just don't know. Another possibility is that He wanted to get the point across that He really was dead. After three days it was a pretty good guess that He could not be alive. When He was resurrected on the third day and was seen by numerous people it must have made quite an impression on those who witnessed this miracle. Of course there is no way to know for sure and can only make educated guesses. Whatever the reason, God knew in his infinate wisdom, what was best.
In The Bible
The events of that Easter Sunday are known as "the Resurrection".
Did Jesus walk the earth for thirty days after He rose from the grave and what did He do during this time?
40 days and he encouraged his apostles giving them further strengthto carry out the work he had started.
In The Bible
In Matthew's Gospel, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to the tomb of Jesus. An angel met them outside and said that Jesus was risen. In Mark's Gospel, Mary Magdalene, Ma…ry the mother of James and Salome went to the tomb of Jesus. The stone was already moved and a young man met them inside the tomb and said that Jesus was risen. In Luke's Gospel, Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Mary the mother of James and other women went to the tomb. Two men in shining garments met them inside. In John's Gospel, Mary Magdalene was alone when she went to the tomb early in the morning. Seeing the stone moved aside, she returned immediately without meeting anyone or looking inside. After the disciples came to look and had left, Mary Magdalene was again outside the tomb when she met Jesus, whom she mistook for the gardener.
In Jesus Christ
Jesus was in the grave for three days, then He resurrected. Additional Answer: The only sign Jesus gave to His Messiahship was being in the belly of the earth for three full d…ays and three full nights like Jonah was in the belly of the great fish: Matthew 16:4New International Version (NIV) 4 A wicked and adulterous generation looks for a sign, but none will be given it except the sign of Jonah." Jesus then left them and went away.
