"Margaret Brown (née Tobin) (July 18, 1867 - October 26, 1932), was also known as Maggie Brown, Molly Brown, and more famously The Unsinkable Molly Brown.

Molly Brown was best known for her role in saving people when the RMS Titanic sunk. She got the people in Lifeboat 6 to return to the sinking and look for survivors, hence the nickname "Unsinkable".

She born in Hannibal, Missouri and married James Joseph Brown. Although she always said she wanted to marry a rich man, she fell in love with "JJ" despite the fact he was not wealthy and married him. He later became rich because of his mining engineering inventions.

This allowed Molly to move into rich circles where she used her status and wealth as a American socialite to become a philanthropist, and women's activist. She established soup kitchens to aid the poor, established the first Suffragette's chapter in Colorado, ran for US Senate, aided in setting up the first juvenile court system, was a human rights and labour advocate and more. She was awarded the French Legion of Honour for her work in helping rebuild France after WW1.
