Most ancient Egyptian art were stone carvings. For these carvings they used copper chisels and stone hammers. To paint them, they mixed pigments from berries, animal fat, ash and various minerals, depending on the color they wished to create.

This is because in those times they didn't have all the materials that we have now. I'm guessing they didn't even invent a pencil in those times!

Egyptians used most of their artistic talents towards creating the pyramids. Gorgeous paintings filled with color, beautifully designed pottery, and many unique sculptures consumed much of the Egyptian artisans time. These fascinating people put together their abilities and beliefs to form the great pyramids located near the Nile River at Giza. Egyptian mathematicians used their God given abilities to work to make them level. Engineers designed methods to move the huge stones. Laborers supplied muscle to complete the work. Together all of these amazing people used these amazing talents towards creating these fascinating structures that we know today, as the Great Pyramids.
