The meninges and cerebrospinal fluid separate the brain from the skull and provide protection and cushion for the brain. The meninges are composed of three layers which surround not only the brain but the entire central nervous system. From the topmost layer closest to the skull to the bottommost layer closest to the brain, the meninges consist of the dura mater, arachnoid and pia matter. The cerebrospinal fluid fills the region between the arachnoid and pia mater and within the skull the brain, in essence, floats within this fluid.
Stress Divides the brain
When we cross the stress line and enter into the stress zone our brain reacts. The highest control centre in the brain (right frontal pre-cortex) becomes overwhelmed by the level of stress we are encountering and it shuts down. When it shut's down the 2 halves of the brain become de-synchronized and we revert to 4 basic emotions; we are driven to food, operate out of fear and anger and use sex as a weapon of control and self satisfaction.
The midsagittal plane divides the right and left sides of the brain into two equal sections. A plane divides the body into two equal sides.
The brain is divided into two hemispheres by the corpus callosum.
The medial longitudinal fissure divides the brain into left and right hemispheres.
The midsagittal plane divides the brain into equal right and left portions.
Central sulcus
Sagittal plane
Frontal Plane or Coronal Plane
Your brain. -Correction, brain is incorrect. The Urinary Bladder is divided in half by the median (sagittal) plane.
There is only one midsagittal plane through your brain. It divides the brain into equal left and right portions.
"The midsagittal plane divides the brain into equal right and left portions."
The fourth ventricle of the brain lies between the cerebellum and the brain stem. This i next to the third ventricle, which divides the left and right halves of the thalamus.
The corpus callosum (sp?). It's a membrane, and it sends the impulses back and forth from each hemisphere.
