I Believe there are many kinds of work done by physicists.
Scientists are people who are pushing the boundaries of what we as humans know about the world and what we are capable of.
I've heard Physics being described as 'The science of everything'.
They might work in all kinds of fields like robotics and space rocket travel and pretty much anything that involves things we don't yet understand.
What a physics scientist would study would depend on the type of work he was doing (his field of expertise) For example you could study geophysics which would mean you would work on the science of the earth .
