Weasel is a common name for about 12 species of mammals in the genus Mustela of the Mustelidae family. They are found throughout North America, Asia, Africa, South America, and Europe

Weasels are aggressive and fierce and will attack animals much larger than themselves. Before the attack, they watch the movement of their prey . When they kill, they go for the neck of the victim.

Weasels eat mice, voles, shrews, moles, rabbits and small birds and their eggs.

Occasionally when there's no other food, they might eat berries but they are pretty carnivorous. In New Zealand they regularly eat large insects called wetas.

They are carnivorous mammals. Weasels feed on small mammals, and in former times were considered vermin since some species took poultry from farms, or rabbits from commercial warrens.

Weasels feed on small mammals. It hunts for rabbits, rats, birds, frogs, ground squirrels and pika ( a small rodent that lives in the mountains) . It eats hundreds of meadow mice. Weasels that live in the north also feed on Arctic hare and lemming.

They will if they can catch them. Most species aren't very water adapted and don't eat very much of it. Otters are members of the weasel family and they eat a lot of fish. Minks, which are often referred to as weasels, eat 20-50% fish. Badgers eat fish if it is available.
