Please, Never Feed any duckling Bread, Chips, Popcorn, Or anything that we eat. That stuff isn't good for us, Why would it be healthy for The Poor Ducklings? That kind of food doesnt support what they need. Try Getting Them Duck Starter. NON MEDICATED
You feed them ripped up bread with some water and a tiny bit of starter chick crumble (if you have it) or some dry cat food in a little bowl of water when they get a little older, 'cos if you give it to them when they are younger they can't swallow it properly. But don't feed them milk because they are lactose intolerant. They are really fragile so be careful of dropping them when they are really little!
Not so...you DO NOT FEED DUCKLINGS BREAD. Go to a local feed store and get them proper feed. The feeds need to be changed as your ducklings grow. Fresh greens chopped and insects are a plus.
There are consequences to not feeding ducks properly such as "angel wing," etc.
Absolutely get a duck food that has a higher protein. (farm store) I was sold a food made for adult ducks-(lower protein) and all but one of my ducks died.
NEVER EVER FEED IT BREAD... EVER.... ;) It Does Not contain Enough Protein that it Needs! You Can Buy Duck Starter at your Local UFA OR Peavy Mart
You should feed ducklings water fowl starter crumbles. You can also use chick starter but will need to add additional niacin to the blend.
Bread, crackers, almost anything but chewy, or hard candy, or meat.
baby duck feed from a feed store.
Call a wildlife sanctuary to ensure you are feeding the correct food. Do not feed bread... DO NOT FEED BREAD, makes a duck or bird feel full without getting any nutrients. Bread also creates algae on the water from yeast and causes harm to the water's ecosystem.
What do baby ducks eat
A baby crocodile eats meats... almost any kind (in small chunks though). When older it is great to feed them ducks or small birds!
Farm ducks need feed everyday. Domestic ducks are dependent on the feed a farmer provides and only supplement their feed on a pond and around the yard. You do not "stop" feeding domestic ducks. If you have been feeding wild ducks then you can stop anytime you feel you want to. The ducklings will follow the flock and feed where the adults are feeding just in shallower waters.
You feed them baby duck pellets(crumbs) they will not eat 24 hours after hatching though. Hope this helped. :)
