the best feed for all geese is straight corn. I get my corn from a local farmer and i get it cheaper then you will at a feed mill of your local hardware store. Any goose wiill grow very nice on corn

As soon as your chicks have hatched make sure that they have access to water and food to avoid starvation and dehydration. If your chicks have been hatched using an incubator it is a good idea to show them where their food and water is. Make sure that you use a specially designed chick drinker to avoid the risk of very young chicks drowning or catching a chill by falling in it.

Using a specially prepared chick crumb takes the worry out of feeding your chicks as they will have been nutritionally balanced to provide young chicks with all of the nutrients they need for growing.

You are not supposed to, but you can feed them bread. My geese are big fans of whole wheat bread. I prefer to give them that over white bread because wheat is better for them.

And, please, if you do that, tear the bread into small, dime-sized pieces. They have a hard time tearing apart large chunks. And if at all possible throw them into the water where they are swimming. Moistening the bread makes it easier for them to swallow.

It is against the law in most areas to feed waterfowl, as it makes them dependent on humans for food, and can cause a variety of problems for us and the geese.
