These are the steps to follow:
The employer in Italy request the nulla osta to the Sportello Unico (if any documents is needed from you they will the employer know)
The Sportello Unico eventually grants the nulla osta and send it to us by computer system and the original back to the employer and from them to you in the US
You apply here for the visa (in person only)
Once you obtain the visa you travel to Italy
In italy you request your permit of stay (permesso di soggiorno)
If Italy: If 12 or older you can only apply in person in Miami. During the following hours:
Monday: 9:00-12:00
Tuesday: 9:00-12:00
Wednesday: 9:00-12:00
Thursday: Closed to the Public
Friday: 9:00-12:00
Starting November 1st , 2015 the visa office will operate by appointment only.
