On the other hand, Mr. Netanyahu has acknowledged on numerous occasions that President Obama has been a strong and steadfast ally of Israel; and contrary to the rhetoric from Republicans that Mr. Obama is not a friend of Israel, there is no credible evidence to support that claim. Still, Mr. Netanyahu was hoping Romney would win the 2012 election, and was undoubtedly disappointed when his friend lost.
