Major tuneups usually consist of replacing distributor cap, rotor, spark plugs, fuel filters, air filters, PCV valve/filter, O2 sensor, checking ignition wires, setting timing, certain belts. Also fluids especially, oil, Transmission Fluid, water.

Pretty much anything that eventually needs to be replaced every so many miles, 3,000 30,000 60,000 (i dont mean water pumps, clutches, engines, or anything that major).
