Current (I) is the motion of charge from one location to another.

I = dQ/dt, the net charge flowing through an area per unit time.

Current is related to potential difference and resistance by the following equation.

I = V/R

To measure current for practical uses, obtain a good ammeter. Ammeters will measure the current passing through a given circuit.

current is a term that is often used in physics and it basically refers to flow of electrons . Electrons come from the cathode in the conductor and enters the anode so the electric current is produced from anode to cathode but the conventional current direction is taken as cathode to anode.

An amp meter. On a multi meter you use the Amps scale or I scale or Current scale. Different meters refer to the amps in different text.

Do You measure current across a circuit?

A current flows through, not across, a circuit. And, yes, you can measure it using an ammeter.

Why current cannot be measured directly using an oscilloscope?

A standard oscilloscope is designed to measure voltage, you need a current probe for your oscilloscope to measure current.

What is the equipment used to measure an electrical current?

Electrical current is measured using an ammeter.

What is a clamp meter?

It is a multimeter with a clamp on facility to measure current using it as a current transformer.

The unit of current?

you can measure the unit of a current in amps (A) we measure the current using a ammeter

How do you measure the resistance in a parallel circuit?

You have to measure the voltage, and the current. The resistance is then calculated by using Ohm's Law.

How do you measure current without connecting the load?

Without load there is no current so it is impossible to measure it.

How to measure current?

Current in a circuit can be measured by using a device called ammeter that is always connected in series in the circuit in which current is to be measured.

How do you measure the current by using multimeter?

The current is the amperage. It is measured in series. Voltage is measured across the line (parallel).

How do you measure earthing using multimeter?

only earthing can not be measure. Anyone can only measures the voltage and the current with respect to the earthing .Thus it is impossible to measure the earthing.

How do you measure alternating current voltage and resistance?

You measure current by inserting an amp meter in series with the circuit or using a clamp-on meter to measure current by induction. You measure voltage with a volt meter across the supply. You measure resistance in ohms across the resistance. Luckily all these functions are in the same meter in most cases.

How do you measure alternative current using ac ammeter?

I think you mean 'alternating' current ('alternative' means choice). The ammeter must be inserted in series with the load, just as with direct current.
