A temporary job - is one that only lasts for a short period of time. One example would be working in an office to cover someone who's left to have a baby. They will return to work either when their child starts school or they arrange a child-minder. Temporary jobs can last a few days to a few years - depending on the circumstances.
Temporary employment means that an employer will agree to hire someone, but only for a certain period of time. At the end of that period, it is possible that the employer might want to hire the person for a longer period of time. This does not happen with all temporary jobs, however. At the beginning of the job, it is important to be clear on how long the employment will last and whether or not it could lead to a permanent hire. The person who is your job supervisor will be able to answer this for you, either at the interview or after you're hired.
Any job will bring more money than no job. Any job -done well - can provide a recommendation helping you to get another job. A temporary job can let you figure out what you'd like from a long-term job.
Contingent employment
A temporary worker is a person who is hired for a short period of time (often to deal with a short surge in work requirements) and may be dismissed at will by the employer.
