try this site- http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sci/tech/7567926.stm Basically there are a number of anomalies and unsatisfactory answers in our present knowledge of matter and the beginnings of the universe. Scientists will be looking for 1)the elusive Higgs-boson which will explain why particles have mass,2) the missing anti-matter in the universe (on the assumption that equal amounts were 'created' in the Big Bang, 3) superparticles- squarks, selectrons etc predicted in some theories,4) multi-dimensional theories which have been floating around for decades and presumably 5) any other interesting lines that emerge.

The main use of the hadron collider is to collide protons or lead ion together. These particles are said to be moving at 99.999999% speed of light. This is done to test high energy physic theories. One of the well known theories being tested is the Higgs Boson.

The primary purpose of the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) is to prove or disprove the existence of the Higgs Boson particle. This particle's field explains the origin of mass in the universe. Although the mathematics show that this particle exists, it has yet to be verified experimentally.

They are just creating the time space fabric, just after the big band.It helps them to study the dark matter and Heavy particle(called weakinteracting particles)

from CERN

he Large Hadron Collider (LHC) is a gigantic scientific instrument near Geneva, where it spans the border between Switzerland and France about 100 m underground. It is a particle accelerator used by physicists to study the smallest known particles - the fundamental building blocks of all things. It will revolutionise our understanding, from the minuscule world deep within atoms to the vastness of the Universe.

Two beams of subatomic particles called 'hadrons' - either protons or lead ions - will travel in opposite directions inside the circular accelerator, gaining energy with every lap. Physicists will use the LHC to recreate the conditions just after the Big Bang, by colliding the two beams head-on at very high energy. Teams of physicists from around the world will analyse the particles created in the collisions using special detectors in a number of experiments dedicated to the LHC.

There are many theories as to what will result from these collisions, but what's for sure is that a brave new world of physics will emerge from the new accelerator, as knowledge in particle physics goes on to describe the workings of the Universe. For decades, the Standard Model of particle physics has served physicists well as a means of understanding the fundamental laws of Nature, but it does not tell the whole story. Only experimental data using the higher energies reached by the LHC can push knowledge forward, challenging those who seek confirmation of established knowledge, and those who dare to dream beyond the paradigm.

Would ever be possible to go back in time?

(The last guy was talking crap btw.) Well, scientist have tested this theory many times and they are starting to get answers to their questions They are currently making improvements to the Large Hadron Collider. Which was the worlds first time machine. so yeah i guess so

Is Large Hadron Collider experiment successful?

YES! The Test was very successful, but due to a problem with the magnets on Sept. 19 2008 they have shut down the LHC it will be re-tested ( used ) In The summer Of 2009. For the test run, no black holes where detected. Also They want to see if the big bang could really happen.

What is the purpose of a chorionic villi sampling?

The tissue can be tested for genetic defects.

What is the best weapon on hero smash?

Well it is an unknown answer cause nobody tested all the weapons in hero smash but i tested all the non member weapons. I would say the Slimitron collider and if you don't wear a helmet it gets stronger. You can find it at the second trial of Super Death from the energized slimes so go there if you want a nice weapon (color custom).

What is the purpose for scientists to speak at conferences?

the purpose of scientists speaking at conferences, are to introduce theory which they have studied, tested and proved that will be relevant in the development of the human society.

Why must an experiment be able to be conducted by scientist?

A theory is useless if it cannot be tested and verified/disproven. That is the purpose of experiments.

What are the results of the big bang that took place in the cyclotron between France and Switzerland?

It is the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) that sits on the border between those two countries, and it has "pre-accelerators" to create and inject particles into the main ring. This massive project begins without the use of a cyclotron, but uses a linear accelerator to start the ball rolling. It has only been tested at low power and it is yet a couple of months out from a "big bang" using heavy ions (lead) at massive energies. We're still waiting for the first high power tests. Use the link below to learn more and be up to speed by the time they get ready to get down over there.

What is the purpose of a vehicle emission test?

The purpose of a vehicle emission test is to make sure that a vehicle is not emitting harmful toxins into the air. What is tested for varies by state but mainly looks for carbon emission.
