The Oxygen Debt is the extra volume of oxygen consumed by muscle tissue after intensive exercise. It is also referred to as recovery oxygen or excess postexercise oxygen consumption (EPOC). EPOC - excess post oxygen consumption
Oxygen debt is the amount of extra oxygen required by muscle tissue to convert accumulated lactic acid to glucose and replenish depleted ATP following vigorous exercise.
In intensive exercise, the human body begins anaerobic respiration to give you more energy. Anaerobic respiration causes oxygen debt as it doesn't use oxygen to produce the energy (it only uses glucose). This causes a build up of lactic acid which needs to be broken down (unless you want permanent cramp) which is done with oxygen which needs to be inhaled after exercise. This is called oxygen debt.
Oxygen debt is where the demand for oxygen is greater than the supply. This means the body is working hard and breathing in a lot of oxygen, but cannot absorb enough to cope with the level of activity.
The body uses a lot of oxygen during and following vigorous exercise. Therefore, more oxygen than normal has to be taken in following exercise to restore the body to its pre-exercise state. This additional oxygen is known as oxygen debt.
When we exercise, we use up a lot of oxygen and our supplies can get exhausted. For example if you find yourself running for a bus, you will see that you will need to catch your breath when you manage to get on. That is because your body is making you take in more oxygen to replace your oxygen levels. That is known as oxygen debt.

False. A fossil cannot be formed with oxygen. There has to be no oxygen involved for petrification to occur.
Because there no oxygen on the moon.
you repair the oxygen debt with exercise
Oxygen debt is the deficit of oxygen resuting from intense exercise. During exercise, the body cannot generate enough ATP (energy) to meet the needs of the muscle. This produces lactic acid, which causes muscles to fatigue. Oxygen is required to metabolize the lactic acid and replenish energy stores. How do we do this? We breath, rapidly to bring in large amounts of oxygen. Think of this concept as a checkbook with money being oxygen and writing checks as exercise. If you write checks, but run out of money, your account will go into debt. How do you get out of debt? You get more money.cellular respiration
an oxygen debt
By breathing faster to take in more oxygen to get rid of the lactic acid that has built up from the oxygen debt.
The main cause of oxygen debt is extraneous exercises. This will cause aerobic respiration which uses more oxygen causing a deficit.
oxygen debt has nothing to do with credit. it is the debt you owe to the environment for causing CO2, or carbon dioxide. You pay it off by planting trees.
The amount of oxygen needed to support the conversion of lactic acid to glucose is called oxygen debt. Myoglobin stores oxygen.

oxygen
Oxygen debt is not a condition but rather a medical term that refers to the amount of oxygen that is lost during intense physical activity and needs to be replenished. This loss or debt of oxygen is replenished by heavy breathing that occurs during intense physical activity or when the physical activity ceases.
by breathing rapidly and deeply.
