The Death Rate was catastrophic! It left many Japanese people with severe burns to their bodies and radiation poisoning which still continues in the genes to this day. The initial bomb blew things apart, but there was great silence, then the cloud appeared and fire exploded. It was so sudden that there were imprints of bodies all over the place (evaporated.) The land was rendered useless because of the radiation. It amazed me that after such a horrific thing happening that the Japanese built up Hiroshima and Nagasaki so quickly. Still, to this day there are many birth defects created by the dropping of the Atomic Bomb. Not something one should be proud of!

The affects of the atomic bomb in Japan was very bad. Japan lost a lot of people. About 30% of Japanese people dies and about the same amount was injured. Even the some survivors died because of the radiation of the atomic bomb. But also, the radiation of the atomic bomb cause hair loss and certain cancers. It should also be noted that the Hiroshima bomb had the power of 15 kilotons ( 15.000 tons of explosives ) and the Nagasaki bomb was 21 kilotons ( 21.000 tons of explosive power )

The US detonates a uranium bomb over the Japanese city of Hiroshima, killing more than 140,000 people within months. Many more later die from radiation-related illnesses. The US explodes a plutonium bomb over Nagasaki. An estimated 74,000 people die by the end of 1945. Little can be done to ease the suffering of the victims who survive the blast.
