I believe that the transition to agriculture led to a decline in womens rights. The reason for this largely stems from the fact that prior, during the Paleolithic Age, that is, men would do the hunting while women would do the gathering. However, as they turned to settled agriculture, women did not play as a large a factor in contributing to the food supply. This, in turn, led to a decline in their status.

∙ 11y agoThe agriculture revolutions affected the Neolithic societies because they had to adapt their behaviors from foraging to producing. This allowed them to get food much faster. They also had to stay in one place instead of migrating to find food, however this caused bacteria to start spreading.
