∙ 13y agoWitches long time ago were considered evil and mischievous. In old medieval times and before, they were immediately caught and killed in several different ways, usually involving slow, painful deaths. During the time of the colonies of America, most witches would be killed too. A few will be tried for to make sure if they were a witch or not and a very small portion would be punished in ways less severe than execution.

∙ 13y agoThere was a period in history when they were tortured and killed. Often, people were falsely accused, so that someone else could take their property or simply be rid of someone that they didn't like.

Witches were to be believed evil in the old days. They would usually burn a witch to the stake or just hang them.The accused "witches" were treated terrible. The people of Salem thought that if someone was a witch, the witch would do horrible things. The people also thought that they should get rid of the witches, so they would drown people who they thought was a witch and if you were you would be able to undrown yourself with your powers and it you weren't you were just led there to drown!
