I have signed many updated wills in the past. My father was wealthy & made sure we all knew we were taken care of. the last living trust (with a exec tor due to my 2 sisters greed, mental issues, & problems with my mother who is mentally unbalanced,) was around 1986. My 1st son was 6 then & he too was to receive a substantial amount of inheritance for college(& there's more for you all,he would say to railway's. I had 2 more kids 1987 &1989. They were all included in his living trusts. Until he died apparently. I think my 2 sisters cohered my mother out of greed,& severe mental issues with one sister that tore us all apart. I haven't spoken 2 them in 20 years or to my mom for over 10 years. They have apparently disowned all of us! I am marrieds 25 years now. Unfortunately he passed away,in 1996..there was never an issue of kicking me & especially his 3 grand kids he loved so much, out of his will. We always expected a inheritance. T just saw this undue....a new law? does that apply here possibly? what are the statutes on this type of legal issue? My sisters & mother all live in Reno NV now.Im still in CA. Another issue w/the passing of my grandmother in 1995 as well. All about greed with relatives. My kids need $ for college& I'm not greedy. But this was very wrong. thank you for you re time

What is the purpose of a trust fund?

Untouchable savings until a child turns a certain age is the purpose of a child trust fund. A child trust fund can be started by a parent or grandparent who maybe wants their child or grandchild to have money saved for a certain item. By putting the money in a child trust fund, and designating an age, the child cannot touch that money until he/she reaches that age.
