Depends how much, but it can make you very ill. It is possible to get drunk, if you drink a lot of it, but do not try it! If you drink excessive amounts, it is extremely bad for your health because it has a toxin called ethanol. It can lead to all sorts of problems and diseases. Stomach ulcers and things much worse.
-Okay people are being ridiculous about this question. Ethanol is the alcohol in all normal Alcoholic Beverages. Its not the "bad" isopropyl alcohol that can make you go blind. There is no good explanation i have found of why drinking it is bad other than one of the active ingredients makes your brain swell like aspirin would, so this is one danger. Other than that its like drinking a pretty alcoholic drink about as strong as pepermint schnaps, it would not take the whole bottle to get you drunk more like 1/4 -> 1/2 of the bottle so the fact that coma's slurred speech vomiting diarrhea and coma's are possible only make sense for these are the normal affects of over drinking alcohol. People seriously need to stop talking about things they have no idea about.
Listerine has 26.9 % alcohol which makes it 54 proof and also contains some other alcohol-like compounds (eucalptol and thymol) that are mildly toxic, and some other ingredients--all of which give the liver a workout. The term they use is denatured which makes it sound like they take out of alcohol whatever's normally in it that gets you drunk, but in fact all they do is put other stuff in to make it undrinkable and in some cases poisonous. "Specially denatured alcohol" such as that used in Listerine can cause blindness, organ damage, and death when injested in large quantities or in small quantities over time.
I hope you aren't drinking mouthwash. I don't know why anybody would do this. I have heard people do this when it is Sunday and they are desperate, or underage. In any case, it is more toxic than straight liquor from the store, and can cause you big problems so don't do it, it is not worth it.
Oh and if it is about money remember, Vodka on sale at the supermarket is $9.99 per 1.75 liters, or 1.4 cents per milliliter of alcohol. A one-liter bottle of Listerine original can be had for $5.19, or 1.9 cents per milliliter of alcohol. So if you're chugging mouthwash thinking, it's not Vodka, but I'm saving money for grad school-- think again.
get medical help or contact poison control right away....(at least that's what it says)
well it depends, did you swallow a tiny bit or alot...? a little bit wont hurt,a swallow would at worst make you vomit but if you swallowed say, half the bottle(why would you?) then you would defiantly need medical attention

If you drink mouth wash by accident it should not be a huge problem, just drink lots of water to flush it out of your system. If you want to be extra careful though call a poison control center. 1-800-222-1222 this is the number for the poison control center in the United States.
If a large amount is ingested you may experience nausea as well as diarrhea.
a little by accident is OK, too much and you will feel very sick.
Probably nothing significant.
Mouthwash is an oral hygiene product that is not intended to be swallowed. If you accidentally swallow mouthwash, the side effects that you may experience include nausea and diarrhea.
intoxication
A disinfectant suitable flavored with a sweeting base... it should be gargled and not to be swallowed...
You turn into the Hulk.
if it do NOT get stuck in your throat then nothing really will happen you might get sick but if it gets stuck in your throat you'll die in 3 mins
yes
You're doing it wrong.
Do nothing. You should be fine.
Yes, you're fine.
Life savers have holes in them in case one is accidentally swallowed whole, especially by a young child. The hole allows you to breath until it is removed, swallowed all the way, or dissolves enough to be swallowed.
i would laugh =)
Not a chance in the world! You have nothing to worry about.
