Students could lose transferability of credits, and coursework and degree may not be recognized, not only by other colleges and universities, but by employers also. Ability to award financial aid would come into question. Not a good thing. Students who graduated or took coursework while the school was accredited would be OK.
If you have graduated while the school was still accredited, then you are fine. If the school loses its accreditation before you graduate, then it would not be recognized by most institutions and/or agencies.
Broward College is working towards SACS COC Reaffirmation of Accreditation.
No Benedict college has never lost its accreditation. Things you may have heard are lies. The College is in good standing with the accreditation agency. If you would like more information of the accreditation of Benedict College please contact The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges
Axia College has a regional accreditation, actually through the University of Phoenix. The regional accreditation is the better accreditation. With a regional accreditation you can be assured the coursework and degree completed will be recognized by all other colleges and universities as well as employers. When choosing a college or university, always make sure the institution has a regional accreditation.
Typically, regionally accredited colleges and universities will not accept credits from institutions not holding a regional accreditation, and Everest College does not have a regional accreditation.
Accreditation is a lengthy process. Here is what usually happens when a school/college applies for accreditation with any reputable accreditation agency. Firstly, the school/college applies for the accreditation, after this they communicate with the agency and provide them information about their school. This information is vast and agencies carefully monitor everything. This process continues and after an initial evaluation that school/college is granted a temporary accreditation status. The evaluation process continues and sometimes it may even take years to complete. So it is difficult to say as to when they got first accredited. Usually schools don't share such detailed information on their websites.
Accreditation is the process of ensuring that a college meets the minimum requirements for providing a quality education. If a college is not accredited, the diplomas it gives will be meaningless and not recognized by other schools or employers.
As long as the college has a regional accreditation, it will be fine.
I would look into this institution before making a decision. The college states it has the preferred regional accreditation. However, the College Board does not indicated that the school does have this accreditation. A regional accreditation is extremely important for you who plan to continue on the law school. With a regional accreditation, you can be assured the coursework and degree you complete will be recognized by all other colleges and universities as well as employers. Still, I can find no evidence (other than what the college states) that Patrick Henry has a regional accreditation.
As long as the school has a regional accreditation, it will be fine. Most community colleges have a regional accreditation.
That depends on who is doing the accreditation and what their standards are. Accrediting agencies have standards and requirements particular to themselves.
There are many ways to find that out. One can check out with the accreditation agency. They gladly provide information regarding verification of a university or college's accreditation. Accreditation itself is a proof of the legitimacy of quality education.
States or federal department of education does not provide accreditation to any school or college in the united states. Accreditation is granted by accreditation agencies.
