What happens in vampire diaries season 2 episode 9?

While out hunting, Stefan is captured by Frederic and his friends, who intend to torture him before killing him. Damon goes to the house, realizing he cannot get in because the owner of the house has been compelled not to invite him in. Damon and Elena therefore convince Alaric to work with them to help Stefan. Damon, however, will not allow Elena to come into the house with them. Pearl meets Mayor Lockwood in the Mystic Grill. Meanwhile, Matt is angry with his mother Kelly, but is fearful of pressuring her too much, afraid that she may leave again. Alaric enters the vampire house under the pretext of borrowing the phone. Damon kills the human living in the house, thus enabling him to enter. After her car breaks down in the storm, Caroline discovers the remains of Vicki Donovan in the woods. Matt and Kelly are heartbroken by the news. Damon and Elena rescue Stefan, but a fight erupts in which Damon and Alaric kill most of the vampires. Frederick comes after Elena and Stefan, wounding Stefan badly. Elena has to feed Stefan her blood to revive him. Stefan briefly loses control of himself. Anna agrees to turn Jeremy, but she then figures out (and he does not deny) that the real reason he wanted to be turned was to be with Vicki, whom he now knows to be dead. Damon discovers that Stefan has lost control of his bloodlust, drinking large amounts of human blood from Damon's stores of IV bags.

At the end of episode 10 Elena and Stefan slept together, the very end of the episode Elena had found a picture is Stefan's room of Katherine. Elena thought that Stefan only slept with her because she looked like Katherine. She threw her vervain necklace on the picture of Katherine. As Elena was driving away she was in a very bad car accident and her car flipped. At the end of this episode she hit a man who then got up at produced to come forward to her car. At this point Damon shows up and realizes that Elena is stuck in the car. He rescues her. She then wakes up in Damon's car asking where she is and what had happened. Damon answers her "Georgia."

Elena asks "No seriously where are we?"

Damon replies "Seriously your in Geroigia."

The question is: Is he controlling her since she took off her necklace? or is she doing this on her own free will? Damon points out to Elena that she is with him without her little necklace and he could very easily make her agreeable

Damon rescues Elena from her car crash and they go to Georgia together to visit an ex-girlfriend of his, Bree. They get on really well and Damon ends up being attacked by Lee, Lexi's boyfriend. Elena pleads with him to spare Damon's life.

"The Vampire Diaries" January 21 episode called "Bloodlines" has been teased with a preview attached to the end of the show's December marathon. The CW is re-running the first half of season 1, two episodes at a time, beginning Monday, December 14 to Friday, December 18.

In "Bloodlines", Stefan and Damon's long lost sister, Maria comes for a visit and seeks revenge. It is up to the brothers to stop her before the truth is out. The mysterious man Elena meets on the road reveals that he is a vampire, and Elena is bitten by him, which Stefan learns later, forcing him into revenge against the unknown killer. Also, a new witch comes to town, Alyssa.

In the November Fall finale Elena found a photo of Katherine who looked a lot like her. She freaked out and almost got herself into a fatal car accident. "The last episode we ended on a cliffhanger," Nina Dobrev aka Elena's depicter said to MTV News.

"My character gets into a extremely big car accident, she hits someone and you're left hanging. You don't know what's going to happen, so we're going to pick up right from there and you're gong to see what happened and what happened after that." Dobrev added that Elena will spend more time together with villain Damon

Damon resorts to drinking and partying after failing to find Katherine in the tomb and Elena goes to visit a friend of Isobel's. She finds out that the woman knows about vampires and tells her to leave when Elena asks why there is vervain in the tea.

There is also a 'bachelor auction' in the Mystic Grill for Founders Day and Damon taunts Alaric about Isobel, unaware that Elena knows about her. This causes a wedge in their friendship when Elena tells him that Isobel was her birth mother.

Alaric later confronts Damon and Damon reveals he turned Isobel because she begged him too. Alaric attacks Damon but Damon is too strong for him and stabs him with his own stake. Alaric survives the attack because of the ring Isobel gave him before she disappeared.

Day after Stefan + Elena first sleep together, Stefan makes a deal to help Damon find Katherine in a tomb underneath a church after Damon threatens Elena about making killing her, or turning her. Bonnie and her Grams get involved, and so does Anna and the guy she turned. A witch's spell has been put on the tomb (by the witch who has been haunting Bonnie), so vampires can get in, but can't get out. Bonnie and her Grams chant to open the door, but not to lift the spell. Damon goes in, dragging Elena in with him, so they don't close the door on him. Anna comes in, while Stefan is confronting the guy she turned, to go in and look for her mother. Bonnie's Gram stops Stefan from going in when he finds out Damon's got Elena, telling him that none of the vampires that are going are coming out (after he set the guy that Anna turned on fire). Anna finds Elena after she was separated in the tomb from Damon, and forces her to givebood to her weak mother (who is paralysed from vervan from 1864). Stefan hears Elena screaming, and goes in. Elena comes out, with Stephan at the door, who can't get out. Elena begs Bonnie and her Grams to get him out, so they started to lift the curse, while Stefan takes off to get Damon. Anna leaves with her mother, and goes off camera. Damon shouts "She's not here!", Katherine is not in the tomb. Damon throws the blood packet he had prepared for her at the wall, which splatters and dribbles down. Stefan convinces him to leave, so they come back through the door. Damon claimed that Katherine never compelled him once. Later, Bonnie's Grams passes away, so Bonnie leaves.
