If you are 6 weeks pregnant, this brown discharge may be old blood from your last period. However, you should speak to your Doctor about this incase it is an infection.

yes you could be pregnant i am 6 weeks and also been losing brown discharge brown is seen as old blood red blood is not normally a good sign in pregnancy i have been losing brown discharge for about 2 weeks now on and off and only when i wipe not enough to fill a pad hope this helps

It could be that you are losing your mucus plug, so yes, it could mean that you are going into labour, but not necessarily

Snotty discharge should not be too much of a concern as long as it is clear. Bloody discharge could be a problem so call your Dr. if you don't have a Dr, get one. Brown discharge usually indicates "old" blood. If you are having a miscarriage the blood will be bright red and flowing. At four weeks pregnant an ultrasound will not show a heartbeat. So at that stage you would be unable to judge the viability of the pregnancy. The brown discharge is probably the baby attaching itself to the the uterine wall - some small bleeding can occur then.
