If you take enough cash with you to the station you can then bail yourself out. The arrest and paying the bail cancels the warrant but does NOT settle the matter. When you bail yourself out you will be scheduled with a court date and still MUST go to court to settle the matter, unless it is the type of matter where the bail amount is used to settle the case. Of course the matter can be settled without an arrest by going to court and settling the matter and paying the fine.
