I have a 1995 Grand Prix, and it was doing that same thing. I checked all I could think of , Wires Plugs, Vaccum Leaks, PVC Valve, Fuel Filter, and at last I checked Battery Volts and it was weak to say the least,so I knew the Battery was old so I put in a new one,and that was it. Car has been running great ever since, You would think the Alternator would make the car run good once you started it , but I guess it needs a good Battery as well. Hope this helps. Augie
Yes, my grand am had that problem a week ago, changed out the sensor and it runs like a champ!
This transmission is not electronic, its is operated via a throttle valve control cable running from the throttle body to the transmission bell crank.
It happens in my grand cherokee. somone told me its a loose ball joint in your transmission. A: IF THIS CONDITIONS OCCURS WHEN THE ACCELERATOR IS IN ONE POSITION (STEADY THROTTLE) THE PROBLEM IS MOST LIKELY TO BE A DEFECTIVE THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR.
A Grand Caravan would have the 41TE transmission which does not have a throttle or kickdown cable.
The Pontiac Grand Prix was produced from the years 1962 to 2008. The throttle position sensor in a 3.8 V6 Pontiac Grand Prix is located on the butterfly spindle of the throttle body.
Where is the ECU on a 2002 Dodge Grand Caravan
The throttle position sensor is mounted to the throttle body. It is located opposite of where the throttle cable goes onto the throttle body.
Butterfly in the throttle body needs cleaning.
On the throttle body, opposite the cables. On the throttle body, opposite the cables.
on the side of the throttle body
"how do you change a throttle position sensor on a 1998 jeep grand Cherokee?" could someone without any experience do it?
t guess is either the valves or the crank bearings are getting wore.
