Elvis not only revolutionized the music industry by creating what we all call Rock N' Roll, but it also became a sex icon. He made performance an entirely new thing. Instead of having a band and synchronized movements, he actually began to dance and interact with audiences. He was sexy. He made women pass out and scream and cry. People hated him and thought he was inappropriate, but really he helped the world see a new kind of music and a new way of life. He also served in the military, so you can also say he helped peoples lives by fighting for their freedom.

Even with his incredible stardom, Elvis was very spiritual. He not only released rock and roll albums, but gospel, as well, which were hugely popular. Not many superstars do that.
