The Industrial Revolution began in Europe in mid 18th century. There were many elements affected after the Industrial Revolutiom, including medicine, textile industry, communications, transportation, science, energy and so on.
-Textile Industry
1.Many new machines were invented and this raised textile revolution
2.Machines were large, needed greater power to operate, and were very expensive.Only wealthy merchants could afford them.Merchants put them in fortories and hired workers to operate them. This was the earliest form of factories.
-New sources of power
Machines invented during the Industrial Revolution were large and this led to the development of new souces of power.
1.Steam-Watt improved the steam engine in 1789 and it was used in many machines and different transportation.
2.Coal-It's used to produce steam and heat metals. Its gas form is also a major source of energy.
3.Oil-Since The United States laid the first pipeline ,oil became one of the chief source of power.
4.Electricity-Edison,an American built the first power station in United States, amking electricity an important source of power in the late 19th century.
The textile industry was the first to be affected by the Industrial Revolution. Large factories were built to house new machinery, that lowered costs, decreased time and increased efficiency. However, it can be argued that farming was the first industry to be affected, because everyone moved from the countryside (and therefore farms) to live in the city at the beginning, and all through, the Industrial Revolution.
